Jim Kelly gave a thumbs up and all seemed well again.

The Bills Hall of Fame quarterback was forced back to New York City on Thursday after a recent cancer scan was inconclusive.

However, preliminary results from biopsy surgery on Thursday showed no signs of cancer. Jim’s wife Jill posted the good news on Instagram about 8:30pm Thursday evening.

Along with a picture of Jim giving a thumbs up.

Jill added that after getting the news Jim said two things: “”Thank God for all the prayers!” and “I need a chocolate milkshake!”

Jill posted a bit after 2pm that Jim had returned to New York for a biopsy and asked for prayers.

Those prayers certainly seem to have been answered as requested.

Jim’s cancer has been in remission for over two years.

He seemed well making public appearances at his celebrity golf tournament and football camp last month.

Jim is scheduled to appear at a football camp in Rochester July 19th.

No word on when he may be returning home to Buffalo or resuming normal activities.
