Inmate already serving life for murder accused of killing another in prison

Local News

A prisoner charged with beating another inmate to death now knows when his case is heading to trial. An Erie County judge set Kareem Savage’s trial for December 17th.

30-year-old Savage is charged with the death of 58-year-old Anthony Wilson. Surveillance video from the state correctional institution at Albion showed Savage beating up and stomping on Wilson.  Wilson died a few months after the attack.

Another fight broke out at the same time in which three inmates were charged and pleaded guilty to assault by prisoner.

Savage is already serving life in prison for first-degree murder.  He faces another criminal homicide charge in trial.
