Institute of Medical and Business Careers (Erie) holds second graduation ceremony

Local News

It was a day of celebration for graduates of the Institute of Medical and Business Careers.

Around 200 IMBC graduates filled the Bel Aire Clarion Hotel and Conference Center. This is the second graduating class from the IMBC Erie branch. The main campus is located in Pittsburgh. Currently, IMBC Erie offers training in phlebotomy, medical assisting, medical records and more. Some of the graduates have already received jobs in their field of interest.

“I interned through the school, they put me at UPMC and I got hired right away,” said Susann Lacey.

“To be able to go to school for like a year and then come out and I’m already employed honestly before I was even graduated by Rabe Environmental Systems, ” said Dean Workman.

The Erie campus of IMBC was established in 2015.
