Intentional destruction of religious monument in Arkansas

Local News

An Arkansas man who allegedly drove a vehicle into a new Ten Commandments Monument appears in court to be arraigned today.

Authorities say 32 year old Michael Tate Reed intentionally crashed a vehicle into a brand new, 6,000 pound monument.  The structure had been installed less than 24 hours earlier, paid for by private funding.

Several groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union, have been fighting it as an unconstitutional state endorsement of religion.
