It is a celebration to honor America’s Veterans for their Patriotism and love for our great country.

Murry Hamilton was just 18 years old when he was on the frontline in World War Two. A proud American, he served in that war for 6 months and took home a lifetime of memories.

“I expected to be wounded but I didn’t get wounded at all, I came out of there pretty good,” said Hamilton. Now 92 years old Hamilton has been happily married to his wife Verna for 38 years. It’s people like Hamilton that serve and believe in something greater than themselves.

“Instead of just looking at a Veteran actually look at him and understand that this individual has been through a lot,” said Post Commander George Tanner.

At the VFW Post 470 Veterans of all wars were celebrated. The remembered the sacrifices that the men and women made in the past up till now.

A service person no matter how strong or well trained are never prepared for the horrors of the war.
