Meet Rudy, he is a 2-year-old St. Bernard mix and he is the life of the party. He’s 100% about fun.
He was signed over to the shelter because his owner could no longer provide the care and attention Rudy needed. Rudy loves to run and play, go for walks, give kisses, and play tug-o-war with his rope toys.
Rudy has a lot of energy and would benefit from an active owner who can give him plenty of daily exercise. His ideal home would have a fenced in yard with lots of room to run. Rudy has previously lived with kids 5 years and older, as well as other dogs. He seems to be ok with cats, but has never lived in a home with them.
Because of his size and energy level, Rudy would benefit from basic obedience training. While he is a big goofball, Rudy has a very lovable personality and would make a great family pet.
If you’d like to meet Rudy in person, you can visit the Humane Society.
Some things going on at the Humane Society now are as follows:
- Pet Supplies Plus is hosting a donation drive for kitten supplies this Saturday & Sunday at both their West Erie & Harborcreek locations. As we prepare for kitten season, items such as food, milk replacer and litter are a huge help for sending kittens to foster.
- They will be hosting a “FUN”draiser at Max & Erma’s on Thursday April 26, from 11am to 10pm. Grab a flyer at the Humane Society or visit their Facebook, bring it with you and 20% of your food purchase will be donated to shelter pets!
- They are continuing their month-long campaign for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month. Stop into the shelter and get an Animal Guardian Ribbon and show your support for Animal Cruelty Victims.
