Judge denies Gov. Wolf’s request for stay while litigation is heard by the court of appeals

Local News

Governor Tom Wolf’s request for a “stay” on a federal court judge’s ruling is denied.

Last week, Judge William Stickman ruled some of Governor Wolf’s COVID-19 restrictions were unconstitutional.

Tuesday, the judge denied the Wolf Administration’s request for a “stay” while the litigation is heard by the court of appeals.

The judge’s ruling would lift the prohibition of mass gatherings of people.
