A man originally charged with attempted murder is now facing trial on lesser charges.

Duane Buckner waived his right to a preliminary hearing this morning.  Investigators say he purposely hit another man with his car on West 26th Street in September.

Today, the judge dropped several charges including attempted homicide and recklessly endangering another person.  The judge also reduced bail from $1 million to $50,000.

Buckner will still face trial for aggravated assault.
