Pins were falling as members of the community raise money to help students in Erie.
The first night of Junior Achievement’s national bowl-a-thon getting underway at Eastway Lanes Monday night. Several teams will be bowling tonight thru Thursday night in an effort to raise money to help the “for impact” organization support programs in schools throught the Erie area. Executive director, Erin Sekerak, describing the types of programs Junior Achievement supports. “We support programs that teach our kids about entrepreneurship, financial literacy and workforce development. Sekerak goes onto say “how our money and our economic system works, how to run a business effectively and general workforce development skills that help them prepare for jobs in the future and what’s going to be available for them.”
This is Junior Achievement’s largest fundraiser of the year.
