Just one day left until Perry Square lights up for the holidays

Local News

We’re just one day away from the city of Erie’s biggest holiday celebration; Downtown D’Lights.

Erie’s first 35-foot community holiday tree is up in Perry Square.  The tree is the centerpiece of the collection of decorations now filling the park.  It’s all in preparation for the annual event.  Mayor Joe Schember is to officially light up the park at 6:05 tomorrow night. Then, 10 minutes later, the tree will be lit in a special ceremony.

Organizers say the event is all about celebrating community and bringing people together.

Watch JET 24 tomorrow night for a live look at the light-up festivities.
