ERIE, Pa. — Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Katie McGinty spoke Tuesday before vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine hoping to capitalize on her own campaign.

“I think there’s no more skilled workforce than right here in Pennsylvania in the United States,” McGinity said.

McGinty rallied to send “Pat (Toomey) Packing” during her speech at the Bayfront Convention Center on Tuesday.

McGinty promised to fight for equal pay for women, jobs for veterans and to higher minimum wage as she compared herself to Hillary Clinton.

McGinty said she wants a level playing field for jobs and stands by the working people.

“If we have a level playing field, we will compete and win,” McGinty said.

McGinty will be back in Erie on Thursday to talk about what she calls the devastating impacts of bad trade policies supported by Pat Toomey and her plan to reinvest in manufacturing and its workers.
