Kwitowski could be next president of Erie City Council

Erie City Council is looking to appoint Cas Kwitowski as its next president.

A resolution on council’s agenda for Wednesday nominates the former City of Erie Controller.

The nomination was made by current council president Bob Merski and seconded by Mel Witherspoon.

Kwitowski is a democrat and has served on council for the past three years.

He previously served as City Controller from 2001 to 2012.

Council will vote on the resolution at their meeting this Wednesday, January 4th beginning at 9 a.m.
