LECOM might back out of Millcreek expansion project

Local News

ERIE, Pa. — LECOM Health may be backing out of an $80 million expansion in Millcreek Township.

The tax-exempt, nonprofit organization refuses to expand in Millcreek Township unless a tax settlement is reached.

LECOM Health has made deals with other municipalities, school districts and the county within the last year.

Township supervisors and school board members said negotiations are still underway.

LECOM wants to build two $40 million expansions, one near Millcreek Community Hospital and another near Richmond and Peach streets.
