LECOM is looking for research participants for a musculoskeletal health study.
The new LECOM Musculoskeletal Institute will use technology involving body sensors to measure range of motion. The researchers are looking for 100 people without shoulder injuries to set a baseline when comparing the function of people with shoulder injuries.
Doctors want to compare the effectiveness of treatment options.
Dr. Joshua Tuck, Director of LECOM Musculoskeletal Institute, says, “I think any research like this that can help intervene sooner, diagnose more appropriately–objectively–like Dr. Bilkovski said that the clinical implications for this platform are really limitless.”
People interested in participating in the study can sign up now. Evaluations and treatments will begin in January. A $25 Coffee Culture gift cards will be given to participants.
