Pennsylvania’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program gets underway Wednesday.
The program allows Erie and Crawford residents whose incomes fall within 150% of federal poverty guidelines to applying for financial help to pay their heating bills. Eligible applicants can receive up to $1,000 in cash grants and $500 in crisis grants, based on household size, income and type of heating fuel. (A cash grant helps pay a heating bill, while a crisis grant helps prevent the heat from being turned off.)
Applications will be accepted through April 6th. For more information, please click here.
