Two local businesses are teaming up to bring a taste of home to troops overseas.
The Pittsburgh Inn and Pony Express are in full swing with their Girl Scout Cookie donation efforts.
Robin Weunski, of the Pittsburgh Inn, began the project in honor of her son who is in the Army. Pony Express is working with Weunski to sell around 800 boxes of cookies to be donated back to troops.
They’re also taking monetary donations to offset shipping costs.
“As a veteran myself, I think it’s very important,” Pony Express David Grab said.
The Pittsburgh Inn has sent over 9,000 boxes of cookies to troops in recent years. You can stop in either business to donate and support their efforts.
