A local church took time to honor three local women for their leadership in the Erie community.
The Saint James AME Church, as part of its Juneteenth celebration, is holding three days of events geared toward women’s issues. The events deal with women’s health on a physical, spiritual and emotional level. Tonight they honored Reverend Aquanetta Osborne, Rubye Jenkins Husband, and Joyce Watson for the work they’ve done over the years.
Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated on June 19 that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
