Local college has some fun with high school students, teaching and playing a gaming simulation

Local News

An interactive simulation competition brings business savvy high school students to an area college campus for the day.

25 students from local high schools participated in the Junior Achievement’s Titan Program at Penn State Behrend.  The teens spent the morning learning basic business concepts.  In the afternoon, they put those skills to use by joining up in teams and competing in a game called, ‘Titan Simulation’.

Jeff Coy, Asst. Professor of Finance Black School of Business, PSB, says, “They come out and they’re dressed really well and they’re getting really competitive… they talk a little trash to each other. They want to win! They’re some of the better high school students that are around and we have fun teaching them.”

The top three teams will go on to a regional competition and compete against other high school students across the state.
