Local contractor faces more charges after 20 additional victims step forward

Local News

ERIE, Pa. — An Erie contractor is now facing more than 280 criminal charges after police said he bilked customers out of nearly $450,000.

Lloyd Davis, 60, was first charged in November by State police after 20 victims said they paid Davis, who owns LD Construction, LLC, for home improvement services but failed to perform the work.

Since those charges were filed, another 20 victims have come forward claiming Davis swindled them as well. Davis also faces a civil lawsuit that was filed by the state attorney general’s office in December.

The lawsuit is seeking to prevent Davis from working in the construction business until all of the penalties, costs and restitution are paid in full.

Davis remains in the Erie County Prison.
