A nine-foot section of Bayfront walkway that spurred a legal battle will soon get a handrail.
The section of the boardwalk in question is currently open to the water and that access was the subject of a court case brought about by S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie. The group lost that fight and the Erie Times News is reporting that Erie Events, which owns the property, has arranged to have a handrail installed, probably within the next month.
The installation of the nine-foot-long section will be done by a local contractor and is expected to cost around $16,000.
