Local Jewish community members to up security following California synagogue attack

Local News

A 19-year-old man is accused of opening fire inside a California synagogue Saturday, killing one and injuring three others.

This is the second attack towards the Jewish community in the US within the last year.

One local congregation leader is speaking out about the attacks, saying extra measures will be taken to ensure safety is secured when going to worship.

Jeff Pinski of the Jewish Community Council of Erie tells us, “…That they can always worship in peace, that they don’t have to be in fear when they go into a Jewish facility. Or visitors, we always welcome visitors and we don’t want them to be in fear either. So, unfortunately, we will have, for the foreseeable future, increased security.”
