A tradition for the Benedictine Sisters of Erie continues on this Good Friday.
The Benedictines are sponsoring the 38th Annual Pilgrimage for Peace. During the silent pilgrimage, participants will gather at nine different locations around the city. Each of the locations visited by the sisters has a specific purpose for prayer.
And, Catholic churches celebrated Holy Thursday with masses around the area. Holy Thursday commemorates the last supper Jesus had with the apostles before his crucifixion.
