For some children in Erie, the Easter bunny came in the form of a young woman wearing nursing scrubs.
Jocelyn Morris is the founder of “Jocelyn’s Holiday Meals.” She spent Easter morning delivering personalized Easter bags to children in need. Morris stated, “A whole bunch of people helped me and I said when I get on my feet, I’m going to help people and I’m going to continue to do that”. Morris delivered around 150 bags to kids around Erie. Each bag was made based on the children’s’ individual needs. Parents were able to sign their kids up for the Easter bags through Morris’ Facebook page, “Jocelyn’s Holiday Meals.”
Morris says she didn’t pull all of this off on her own. She stated, “The people of Erie have helped me a lot because they have donated. I made an amazon wish list, they bought stuff. I got like 400 dollars worth of donations. It was awesome.” Morris says the next time she’ll be spreading holiday cheer will be during Christmas time, Until then she will be focusing on graduating nursing school.
