People helped out a local organization one spoonful at a time.
The Erie Philharmonic hosted its third annual Mac N’ Cheese Tasting Competition.
Jet 24’s Traci Teudhope emceed the fundraiser.
More than nine-hundred people came out to the Zem Zem Shrine Club to taste a variety of local dishes.
Guests submitted their nominations for the best macaroni and cheese.
Organizers said the competition typically raises around 10-thousand dollars.
“When you see us donate a piano to a family or do an instrumental petting zoo or our youth concerts that are free for over six-thousand students, this is where we get the funding to be able to do those types of events,” said Steve Weiser, the Erie Philharmonic Executive Director.
Dinner is Served by Lisa won the best traditional dish. 408 Bar and Grille won the best creative dish and The Skunk and Goat Tavern won the judge’s choice.
