Making plans for $2.8 million in funding

Local News

Erie leaders Tuesday morning weigh in on how to best use the $2.8 million of funding.

The money comes from the community development block grant.

The city has six properties for the funding, three low priorities that include homeless residents, special needs residents, economic and development, along with three high priorities, housing, community development and administration.

Erie city’s director of economic and community development Kim Green says she doesn’t see any big changes being made to the budget.

The proposed funding plan will now go to city council for approval before being submitted to the department of housing and urban development.
