Man accused of cutting a woman’s throat changes plea to not guilty

A man accused of cutting a woman’s throat making a motion to withdraw his plea from guilty to not guilty. 

Lynard Carr pleaded guilty to attempted homicide, possession of a weapon, and simple assault back in February. However, on April 10th, his attorney filed a motion on his behalf to withdraw his guilty plea.

35-year-old Carr allegedly assaulted a 37-year-old woman with a knife in the 7700 block of Edinboro Road in May of 2018.

Judge John Mead ordered the prosecution to file a response within 10 days.
