A man is now facing time behind bars for stealing from two people just hours after they were killed.

Today, Tyree Catledge returned to the Erie County Courthouse for sentencing.  He’s one of three defendants charged with breaking into a home shortly after residents drowned in floodwaters.  Investigators say the defendants stole electronics, jewelry, and even weapons from the home.

Catledge previously pleaded guilty to burglary and theft charges.

Today, the judge sentenced him to 4-8.5 years in state prison.
