Man arrested after standoff with police

ERIE, Pa. — An Erie man is in jail after keeping police at bay for nearly an hour Thursday evening.

Erie police and U.S. Marshals surround a home near East 10th and Wallace streets just after 5 p.m. to arrest Robert Butler who was wanted on a sheriff’s warrant.

Police waited for more than an hour before Butler came out of the house.

He was arrested and turned over to the county.
