A waterford man is killed Friday morning after a morning accident along I-79.
49-year-old Joseph Halloran was driving south of the Edinboro exit shortly before 8:30 a.m. when the vehicle struck a guardrail and rolled over ending up on its roof in a nearby stream.
Halloran was trapped in the vehicle. Volunteers from the Edinboro Fire Department were able to free Halloran.
He was taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment but died in the emergency room.
An autopsy is planned to determine what caused the man’s death.
