GENEVA, Ohio — A man who was shot by an Ashtabula County sheriff’s deputy during a disturbance call Wednesday in Geneva, Ohio, has died.
The Cuyahoga County Coroner identified the victim as 26-year-old Vincent Palma.
According to Ashtabula County sheriff’s office, a deputy fired his weapon after responding to a disturbance call near Route 84.
EMS crews said Palma was transported from the scene around 3 p.m. to University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center.
The deputy was not injured in the incident.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the incident.
