A man convicted of abusing his five-month-old baby will now be heading to trial on assault charges in another case.
Today, Nathan Taylor was expected to enter a guilty plea after being charged with aggravated assault by driving under the influence and recklessly endangering another person, but instead, he’s taking the case to trial.
Earlier this month, Taylor was sentenced to a minimum of six years and three months to a maximum of twelve years and six months in prison. That sentencing coming after a jury found him guilty of beating his son, who later died.
There is no date set for his new trial.
