Man injured in Erie shooting

A suspect is in custody after a shooting on Erie’s east side left one man wounded.

Erie Police were called to a home in the 600 block of East 11th Street just before 6 p.m. Monday.

When the arrived, they found a man shot in the left shoulder. The victim was transported to UPMC Hamot by ambulance. His condition is unknown.

Police found a man hiding in a yard several blocks from the scene. They said he was identified by witnesses.
He is expected to be arraigned Tuesday morning.
