A man charged with assaulting a child will face time behind bars. Aaron Nixson was in Erie County Court today for sentencing.
Investigators say Nixson was caring for a child while the child’s mother was out of the house. When she returned home, she claims the child was on the floor of the bedroom. Nixson told authorities the child fell out of bed, but police say the bruises were not consistent with that story.
In August, he pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault.
Today, the judge sentenced him to 26 to 84 months in prison with credit for time served.
