It is a day we celebrate a civil rights leader who changed this country forever. People across the country and in Erie honoring the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  

We joined a group today at noon ready to walk to honor the late reverend and the Civil Rights Movement.  Dr. King is honored for being a leader in the movement.  He is also famous for his, ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, which he delivered to a crowd in Washington, DC in August, 1963.  

King was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4th, 1968.
