The Erie County Health Department is practicing administering mass vaccines.
Thursday afternoon the department and their community did practice run using the Tdap Vaccine.
Director of Nursing Char Barringer says these dry runs are essential trainings for the staff.
The Tdap vaccine protects against three potentially life-threatening bacterial diseases: Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis.
Barringer says it’s a vaccination that every adult should have, especially those around infants or working with agriculture.
If you missed today’s event, and have insurance, you can get a vaccination from your primary care physician.
If you do not have insurance, you can get a vaccination from the health department.
