It’s an event that aims to teach youths about morals at an early age. The 9th Annual Ethics Symposium for High School Students was held at Mercyhurst University.
Kids were taught about ethical dilemmas they will face in the present and the future. They were given examples of different situations and how to best deal with them.
Mayor Joe Schember, a speaker at the event, expressed his feelings on owning up to errors we make. “I’m human; I’m gonna make a mistake at some point and be that last to realize it, but when I do, I’ll admit it and say, ‘hey, that decision was wrong.'”
75 students from high schools across the community took part in the event.
