McGlumphy trial likely to be postponed as attorney pushes for juvenile court

Local News

A man charged with criminal homicide may be moving his case to juvenile court.

Today, 19-year-old Jay-C McGlumphy was in Erie County Court for a pre-trial hearing.  Police say McGlumphy fired a gun at a vehicle at the intersection of the Bayfront Parkway and Lincoln Avenue in June of 2016.  He was 17 years old at the time of the crime.

Today, his attorney is asking for an expert evaluation to see if the case would be a better fit for juvenile court.

The trial date is likely to be postponed.
