Meadville police make arrest in Saturday robbery

Meadville police have arrested a Cochranton man wanted for robbing an elderly Meadville woman at knife point on Saturday.

Jacob G. Hill, 38, was arrested Wednesday on charges of robbery, theft by unlawful taking, simple assault and harassment.

According to police, Hill entered a woman’s car holding a knife at the Mill Run Pharmacy, 404 North St., around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Hill then forced her to drive to a local ATM and withdraw more cash before returning to the pharmacy where he fled the scene. The woman was not injured in the robbery.

Hill is in the Crawford County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bond.
