The Pennsylvania State Police in Lawrence Park gear up to host their first ‘Sunny Day Camp’.
The free, one day event is open to any special needs child or adult in Warren, Crawford, Venango, and Erie counties. Activities include a variety of events for various skill levels, displays of first responder vehicles, and a certificate presentation. Each activity will be 30 minutes long.
There will be tee shirt signings and photographs, where participants can interact with the volunteers of the day.
“Law enforcement will get the opportunity to have a positive relationship in a positive environment with these people and also with their caregivers as well. They also get a chance to interact with our first responders,” Trooper Cindy Owens of PA State Police tells us.
The free camp is on Saturday, September 16th at Edinboro University. Registration begins at 9am, and they are welcoming up to 100 participants.
