A memorial service for fallen law enforcement officers takes place in Lawrence Park today. Pennsylvania State Police Troop E hosting the ceremony at their headquarters.
The ceremony recognizes the eight troopers from Troop E who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Fellow law enforcement, community members and the families of the fallen troopers, all in attendance for this event.
Captain Daniel Hines, PA State Trooper Troop E, tells us, “I’ve always told the troopers that have come on the job, ‘never ever, ever assume, or take for granted what you wear’. And that every day should be an honor to put this uniform on because there have been people who have died wearing this uniform.”
The Pennsylvania State Police in Lawrence Park holds this remembrance every year around May 2nd, the anniversary of the founding of the State Police back in 1905.
