Mercyhurst University to close Wednesday and Thursday, tonight’s concert still on

A representative of Mercyhurst University has confirmed that classes and activities will be canceled this Wednesday and Thursday.

However, the concert of  Post Modern Jukebox at 7:30 tonight is still on.

A letter from the president of the university states as follows:

Due to the impending brutally cold weather, Mercyhurst University and its campuses will close Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 30-31. All classes and activities are cancelled after 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, with the exception of tonight’s concert by Postmodern Jukebox in the Performing Arts Center. Normal operating hours will resume on Friday, Feb. 1. 
Certain employees necessary to protect the university and maintain essential services will be asked to report to work. These employees will be notified by their supervisors. Other employees should not report to work.
During the closure:
•                     Dining halls will maintain normal hours.
•                     Essential personnel including Police & Safety, Maintenance and Residence Life will be on campus and available.
•                     Payroll and the release of W-2 forms will proceed according to schedule.
•                     Athletic events scheduled on the Mercyhurst campus are postponed. Please check for updates about away events.
