Street crews are on the clock to complete roadwork, which is why it might seem more roads are being repaired in the final weeks of warm weather.
Different street departments, including Millcreek, are out trying to complete a busy summer season. A Millcreek Foreman says they have until the end of the month to get the work completed. That’s because, after the 30th, the Township cannot use liquid fuel money. He says they would have to use Township budget money to continue paving.
Kurt Hall of the Millcreek Streets Department, tells us, “We’ve been very busy this year. There’s a few subdivisions we did off of Colonial, Alice, Neptune and Normandy Rue to name a few. We have been very busy.”
Hall says once the paving is complete, they will then switch over to winter mode and make sure the plows and salt spreaders are ready.
