As school starts Thursday for students in the Millcreek School District, the school board hosted a “School Safety Parent Night” seminar.
The seminar briefed parents on the safety updates they can expect for the upcoming school year. New safety changes that are happening in the district include: secured entrances, security film on the windows and students will have to keep their backpacks in their lockers during classes.
Parents also had the opportunity to ask questions about the new safety changes and get to know the school resource officer. The Millcreek School District is also rolling out a new safety response plan this year.
