Millcreek takes a step toward the return of a local golf course.
In tonight’s meeting, Township Supervisors discussed the status of the Millcreek Golf and Learning Center. They still don’t have anyone to operate it. However, the supervisors did award a contract to watch what’s called the ‘grow-in’ and keep up with the grounds during the grass maturing process. That deal will pay nearly $4,500 dollars a month.
“The construction is going on right now and once that is done, we need immediately to have someone oversee the grass maintenance on it, to water it, to cut the grass and so on,” said Millcreek Township Supervisor John Groh.
The course is expected to open next year once the grass is ready to go.
