Following multiple disputes, Millcreek Township supervisors review an ordinance to amend provisions of the township’s zoning code relating to signs.
The changes would ensure that all signs are treated as content neutral .and that the zoning code makes no specific reference to political signs.
However, the township still has authority to ban signs based on content if the content is illegal, promotes illegal activity or is objectionable under the law.
They also still have authority to regulate signs based on placement and size.
The supervisors will consider the passage of this ordinance in a hearing on May 23rd.
