An Irish pub downtown is now under new ownership and some changes are on the way.
Molly Brannigans is now owned and operated by Red Letter Hospitality. The new owners plan to maintain the heritage of the Irish pub, but offer guests some healthy options. They’re also planning quick turn-around lunches for the business crowd.
The restaurant and pub will close down early September for about a month to undergo the renovations. Billy Lewis, Partner at Red Letter Hospitality, says, “The commitment we’re making in downtown Erie is based off of all of the enthusiasm and the investment that’s going in through the EDDC and the programs down here. So, we’ve talked about it and we believe in what’s happening in downtown here and we want to be a part of it.”
Red Letter Hospitality also owns ‘The Cork 1794’ which will now be located in the West Erie Plaza. Lewis says the construction schedule is on track and they expect to open in early November.
