Money stolen from YMCA member

Local News

Money is stolen from a local veteran out of his secured locker at the Glenwood YMCA.

Last night, after his evening run, Veteran Kale Fisher noticed the lock securing his locker was cut and thrown in the trash, and a good amount of money from his wallet was stolen.

Kale Fisher tells us the money was going towards his wife’s classroom because she is a new teacher.

The YMCA released a statement saying, “unfortunately, not everyone lives up to the Y’s core character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.  We continue to invest in security cameras throughout our facilities, including 48 at the Glenwood Park Y, in order to ensure the safety of all who are in our building.  We have filed a police report and are conducting our own internal investigation.”
