More back-and-forth over Grand Jury Dioceses Report

Local News

As directed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro filed a brief to combat efforts to prevent the release of the entire grand jury report into child sexual abuse within the Catholic church.

Today, Shapiro says Commonwealth Court ruled in favor of victims by ruling that the report should be made public.  The court said there was nothing protected by Grand Jury secrecy in the redacted version of the Attorney General’s report.

It’s now up to the Supreme Court to release the report as a public record.
