Preparations are in full swing in downtown Erie to welcome thousands of people for the 11th Annual Roar on the Shore. The official hub of Roar on the Shore, Perry Square, is officially being taken over.
A record number of vendors, at more than 100, are preparing to move and stands are being set up. An estimated 170,000 people are expected to make their way to Erie this year for the big event.
Tammy Polanski, Director of Marketing for the Manufacturing and Business Association, says, “This year we’ve added Vineyard Village right in the middle of Perry Square. We’ll be hosting some of our local, award-winning wineries for a little wine tasting to hang out with us. We’ve got the Budweiser Block Party stage, which is going to be right on South Park Row and State Street. We’re going to have a lineup of local bands, and that’s where you can meet the celebrities.”
Roar on the Shore officially kicks off Wednesday evening at 5pm.
