As the weather warms up, more motorcycle drivers are on their bikes. Motorcyclists are being urged to drive with caution at a meeting at the Manufacturing and Business Association.
The Erie County Motorcycle Safety Task Force is hosting a community meeting for motorcyclists to discuss highway safety.
As more bikes are getting out onto the road, more accidents are likely to happen. Sunday, a motorcyclist was hit by a Ford Escape, sending the 71-year-old driver to the hospital. This happened at the intersection of 12th and Asbury.
At this meeting, several organizations are speaking on the importance of driving a motorcycle with caution.
Representatives from UPMC Hamot, EmergyCare, the County Coroner’s Office, and a motorcycle crash survivor are covering all the safety tips drivers should know before getting back out on the road.
